Truck Driver CDL B Solo

Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Class B CDL Truck Driver in Kent, WA. The position offers weekly pay, paid training, and a range of benefits.

• Pay: $28.00 per hour, paid weekly
• Hours per week: 50+ hours
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, start time varies
• Route:
  Home daily
• Freight:
  Touch – medical supplies
• Truck: 36 months or newer, 24/7 roadside maintenance, company fuel at over 800 facilities nationwide
• Equipment: pallet jack, stair walkers, forklifts
• TWIC card preferred; reimbursement available if required

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder drug test
• Pass a Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide an appropriate CDL with required endorsements
• Must have Class A or Class B experience in a tractor‑trailer or comparable vehicle: 9 months within the last 3 years, or 2 years within the last 5 years, or 5 years within the last 10 years
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
• Detect, eliminate, or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
• Load and unload freight, or assist in loading/unloading of freight as required by customers
• Perform other duties as assigned
