CDL-A Driver: Local & Regional Deliveries; Shifts

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions at Action Courier Services:

This position entails doing local pickup and delivery of airfreight driving an 18-24’ company box truck.

Deliveries include everything from several skids to businesses, residential curbside deliveries, two-man and time exact appointments.

Coverage areas include Chehalis through Blaine, Gig Harbor to Poulsbo, Oak Harbor and Anacortes. Occasionally do hot shot deliveries to different locations in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho outside of the regular areas.

Shifts available: mornings and evenings, 10 hours 4 days, and 8 hours 5 days per week. Weekend rotation is required for all drivers, occurring about once every 3-4 months (3-4 times a year).

• Possess a valid Washington State Driver’s License.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Currently be able to work in the United States.
• Read, write and speak clear English.
• Ability to meet D.O.T. medical and drug testing requirements.
• Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
• Willingness to load and off-load vehicle with a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Flexible work hours. (We will offer a set start time but cannot guarantee a set off time as situations beyond our control can and will occur)

This position entails doing local pickup and deliveries driving a 48-53’ company tractor-trailer (occasionally using a smaller box truck).

Coverage areas include Chehalis through Blaine, Gig Harbor to Poulsbo, and parts of Oak Harbor and Anacortes. Occasionally do hot shot deliveries to different locations in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho outside of the regular areas.

• 1 year of Class A experience preferred.
• Must be at least 23 years of age.
• Currently be able to work in the United States.
• Read, write and speak clear English.
• Ability to meet D.O.T. medical and drug testing requirements.
• Ability to pass a 10-year background check.
• Ability to load and off-load vehicle with a forklift and other material handling equipment.
• Flexible work hours. (We will offer a set start time but cannot guarantee a set off time as situations beyond our control can and will occur)

This position entails coordinating all inbound, outbound, staging, sorting, loading, and unloading of airfreight in the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be organized, able to drive a forklift, have good communication skills, and be willing to adjust schedule to changing operational needs.

A pre-employment drug screen will be required, as well as a 10 year background check. Previous warehouse experience is a plus but not required.

Willingness to work flexible hours and handle material handling equipment is necessary.
