Inventory Associate (Contract)
Location: Kent, WA
Schedule: A Shift: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM (PST) or B Shift: Monday - Friday, 3pm PST - 12:30am PST
Duration: Contract role (6 months, with potential extension)
Hours: 40–45 hrs/week (opportunity for 50–55 hrs/week)
Pay: Up to $30/hour + overtime

About the RoleWe are seeking detail-oriented Inventory Associates to support a growing operations team due to increased workload. This role is hands‑on and fast‑paced, ideal for someone with warehouse, fulfillment, or inventory experience who takes pride in accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement.
You’ll play a key role in receiving, inspecting, tracking, storing, and moving materials throughout the facility while ensuring quality and compliance with established processes.
What You’ll Do- Receive and unload inbound shipments from carriers
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet quality and process standards
- Accurately document receipts and close out work orders using inventory management systems
- Perform data entry tied directly to physical inventory movements
- Package, label, and mark parts according to defined procedures
- Sort, stage, and store materials to ensure secure and traceable inventory flow
- Assign and audit storage locations for both individual and bulk materials
- Operate material handling equipment (with training), including forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, and similar equipment
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying, escalating, and assisting in resolving workflow issues
- Participate in basic root cause analysis when issues arise downstream
- 2+ years of experience in fulfillment center, warehouse, or inventory operations
- Experience with receiving, put‑away, picking/kitting, shipping, and inventory counting
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material (BOMs)
- Strong attention to detail with a quality‑first mindset
- Comfortable working in a highly technical environment
- Solid communication and problem‑solving skills
- Basic math and analytical skills to interpret inventory data
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Willingness to operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment (training provided)
- Commitment to following safety protocols, including PPE and safe equipment operation
- Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience in aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Prior forklift certification
- English proficiency required (read, write, speak)
- Safety‑sensitive role
