Overview
We are looking for a self‑motivated and professional parts fulfillment associate to join our team. The ideal candidate is a hardworking individual who can complete tasks successfully with little to no supervision, possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills, can lift up to 75 lbs on a continuous basis, and has in‑depth knowledge of warehouse machinery and equipment such as pallet jacks, scissor lifts, and forklifts.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Perform warehouse duties using pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and forklifts.
- Read and decipher work orders.
- Locate and extract merchandise from shelves and storage areas.
- Confirm merchandise information matches that of the work order.
- Inspect the merchandise for damage, flaws, and irregularities.
- Pack the merchandise for delivery.
- Transport the packed items to the delivery trucks.
- Finalize the work order and update the database.
- Adhere to state health and safety practices.
Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of warehousing procedures is an advantage.
- Previous experience as a fulfillment associate.
- Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
- Forklift and cherry picker certification.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to work in a loud environment.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 10 hours a day.
- Required to sit, talk or hear; frequently required to use hands to grip or feel.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
- Vision and depth perception suitable for use of machinery and/or a computer.
- Manual dexterity suitable for use of machinery and/or a computer.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to work in a warehouse.
- Ability to sit and stand up to 20‑90 % of the time comfortably.
- Must be comfortable working in a complex production machining and assembly environment.
- The work area is primarily in a manufacturing environment located around machines and heavy equipment such as forklifts or pallet operators.
- Operation of machinery requires working with and coming into contact with various materials and substances.
- Willingness to wear finger cots, masks, and/or safety vest.
- Working temperatures may vary from hot, cold, humid, wet, or dry.
- Working hours may be extended, and weekends may be required in order to meet manufacturing needs.
