Position Summary
Taylor Corporation is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join the team in Kent, WA.
Shift and Work AuthorizationShift: 1st Shift;
Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm.
To be considered, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Responsibilities- Perform physical and administrative duties related to shipping, handling, receiving, storing, counting, packaging, and distributing equipment, materials, merchandise, and similar items.
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages, reject damaged goods, and enter data into the inventory control system.
- Put away and manage raw and finished goods inventory in the warehouse.
- Pull product from the warehouse to deliver to the production floor.
- Pick, wrap, and pack products in boxes, cartons, and other containers prior to final packing for shipment and affix identifying information to the packages.
- Use various shipping systems for Fed Ex, UPS, and USPS.
- Adjust to a fast‑paced and quickly changing environment.
- Assist in monthly inventory cycle counting.
- Operate a forklift, hand truck, or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
- Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as needed.
- Assemble orders and prepare goods for shipment.
- Record shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
- Receive and unpack materials and supplies.
- Report damages and discrepancies for accounting, reimbursement and record‑keeping purposes.
- Complete shipping and receiving reports.
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems as needed.
- Effectively communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas.
- Remain in a stationary position regularly.
- Operate machinery and handle products including print materials.
- Move within the facility regularly.
- Lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 25+ pounds.
- Knowledge of material‑handling equipment such as sit‑down forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and reach trucks.
The anticipated hourly wage for this position is $21.00. The actual base offered may vary depending on qualifications, experience, specific skills, education, certifications, or the applicant’s location. The range listed is one component of Taylor Corporation’s total compensation and benefits package.
