Auto Care Center Coach

Position Summary

Drive sales and financial performance in the Auto Care Center and service area by managing merchandise stocking, inventory, and pricing, while ensuring effective presentation and competitive pricing.

Support the Auto Care Center’s operations through a blend of customer service, merchandising, inventory control, and team leadership to meet sales and profit goals.

• Receive, stock, and present merchandise, maintaining accurate pricing and proper signage.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct forecasting and budgeting, and take corrective action when needed.
• Oversee merchandise presentation, removal of damaged or outdated items, and display upkeep.
• Provide customer service, acknowledged needs, assist purchasing decisions, and resolve issues while promoting products and maintaining a safe environment.
• Process customer requests and service orders in line with company policies and procedures.
• Support technicians by ensuring training, certification, and staging of customer vehicles for service flow.
• Coordinate job‑related activities, build stakeholder relationships, and champion continuous improvement.
• Supervise associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, and recognition, to build high‑performing teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and the Open Door Policy.
• Model Walmart values of integrity, belonging, and service to customers and members.

• At least two (2) years of experience in automotive service or the service industry.
• Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• For firearms‑selling locations, successful completion of a Criminal Background Check and Firearms Training.
• For ammunition‑selling locations, a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility (if required).
• Completion of all mandated job‑required trainings and assessments.

• Automotive Certification from an Automotive Technical Institute.
• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U or Bellevue University.
• Experience in automotive service or a related field.
• Additional supervisory experience.
• ASE Certification.
