Manufacturing Accountant

Ashland LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant (Hybrid) at its Calvert City, KY location. This role is a visible, integral part of the company’s accounting function and reports directly to the Manufacturing Accounting Manager, North America.

• Perform monthly closing tasks related to plant expenses and product costing.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to develop annual and monthly budgets and forecasts.
• Report and analyze variances against manufacturing budgets and forecasts, highlighting trends requiring further review.
• Review and help resolve aging, open accounts payable balances.
• Participate in calculating annual manufacturing overhead rates and product costs.
• Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting work papers.
• Participate in internal and cross‑functional process improvement projects.
• Provide support to multiple manufacturing plants and assist Controllers as needed.
• Support audit activities as required.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting and SOX related matters.

• B.S./B.A. degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in financial accounting.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to travel infrequently.
• Ability to work in the United States.

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with sophisticated accounting systems and ability to learn new systems; ERP experience required (SAP preferred).
• Experience with Microsoft Access and other Office programs;
  Power BI or similar tools a plus.
