We now have an exciting opportunity for an eager and talented individual to join our accounting team as the Staff Accountant, within our corporate office located Corydon, Indiana. You will be responsible for the reconciliation and adjustment of various general ledger accounts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare ad hoc reports and worksheets as requested
- Follow company’s established accounting processes
- Perform monthly bank settlements
- Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of multiple bank accounts, including a US account
- Prepare documentation for internal auditors
- Complete month end Journal entries and accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries
- Extract general ledger AR/AP information from the ERP system, analyze and reconcile daily
- Review, balance, and interpret system reports, and make corrections as needed
- Prepare and maintain audit work papers and account analysis on an ongoing basis
- Process month end reports and check for accuracy
- Review error reports and enter corrections into computer
- Respond to inquiries regarding entered data
- Other duties may be assigned
- Ensure confidentiality of all sensitive information, employee and company related
- Efficient time management including prioritizing, organizing and planning effectively to meet all deadlines
- Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
- Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong math, analytical skills and problem-solving skills; ability to make quick decisions
- Talent to assert themselves and communicate professionally in a clear and direct manner
- Attention to detail; ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- Be honest and trustworthy; maintain confidentiality of all financial files
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum one (1) year of accounting courses in an accredited post-secondary institution
- Proficient with accounting applications
- Strong data entry and advanced Excel skills required
