Senior Accountant – Lincolnshire, IL. Hybrid position (3 days in office).
Responsibilities- Analyzing financial statements, assessing risks, and providing recommendations on cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
- Identifying bottlenecks, streamlining processes, and suggesting improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
- Providing guidance, training and support to the engagement staff and promoting open communication with the engagement partner and manager.
- Reviewing and conducting financial statements reviews and compilation.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with our tax, assurance, accounting, and advisory groups to assist with opportunities to fully service the clients.
- Remaining current on technical and industry developments and standards, while evaluating the potential impact on clients' business and financial position.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field of study.
- CPA license preferred, or working towards CPA certification.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a local or mid-sized CPA firm or a tax consulting practice; food & beverage industry experience is a plus.
- Experience working with a high volume of financial statements with tight deadlines.
- Strong technical accounting background along with a curiosity and willingness to stay current on all key law changes.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, project management, and technical skills.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Strong training and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to represent the firm well to client’s management.
Compensation ranges from $75,000 to $85,000, plus a competitive benefits package and bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
