Salary Range: $110,000 to $135,000

(CEI) provides employees, stakeholders and customers with timely and accurate financial information. The Finance Department is comprised of six teams:
Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Collections, Payroll and Tax that work closely together to ensure compliance and the financial well-being of the company.
THE ROLE
The
Senior GL Accountant will work closely with therest of the Accounting team,Finance group,Tax department and
Project Management when required.
- Manage the month and year end close process including general journal entries on accruals, prepaid, fixed assets, cash receipts, cash disbursements.
- Prepare the balance sheet accounts reconciliations.
- Prepare month end financial statements.
- Coordinate with the Asset Manager to ensure assets are properly recorded.
- Collaborate with other departments including IT, Billing, AP, tax to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Along with other team members, you will create and implement policies and procedures to identify, resolve and document accounting issues in addition to creating procedures to make the close, reporting, and business processes more efficient and accurate.
- Review monthly accounting close processes including analytical review of the monthly operating results to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.
- Analyze month end results.
- Assist with various aspects of external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and reviewing outstanding items lists.
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written and customer service skills are essential.
- Detail oriented with a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with interruptions.
- Ability to take full ownership of tasks while helping others when appropriate.
- Excellent MS Excel skills and ERP experience required; JD Edwards preferred.
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
Education:Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
Licensure/Certifications:
CPA preferred.
Experience:5 years of proven experience in the accounting industry, preferably in the areas of manufacturing and/or construction
