We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, values a collaborative work environment, and is looking for a clear path to professional growth and increased responsibility. This role follows a standard 40-hour week for most of the year. During tax season (January 15 - April 15), extended hours are required to meet filing deadlines, typically averaging 50-55 hours per week, including some Saturdays.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual, partnership, S corporation, C corporation, fiduciary, and nonprofit tax returns.
- Perform tax planning and consulting services for business and individual clients.
- Research federal and state tax issues and communicate findings to clients and team members.
- Assist clients with tax notices, audits, and compliance matters.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Collaborate with firm leadership on client service strategies and practice development.
- Mentor and support junior staff as the firm continues to grow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA license required (or actively pursuing licensure).
- Minimum of 3 years of recent public accounting tax experience.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state taxation for individuals and businesses.
- Experience with Ultra Tax or other tax preparation and research software.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
- $80,000 - $105,000 salary based on experience.
