Join Our TeamICI Homes is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our Accounting team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations while supporting tax planning initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and knowledgeable in both accounting and tax principles, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Convert internal and external financial statements from book basis to tax basis and reconcile differences.
- Prepare federal tax returns and related schedules.
- Assist with the development and implementation of tax planning strategies to promote tax efficiency and compliance.
- Research and analyze federal, state, and local tax laws, regulations, and rulings.
- Coordinate and serve as a liaison with external tax consultants, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and file:
- Intangible tax returns
- Tangible personal property tax returns
- Sales and use tax returns
- Trust returns
- Gift tax returns
- Prepare Forms 1120, 1120S, 1120H, 1065, and 1040, including all supporting schedules.
- Prepare and file Form 5500 for employee benefit plans.
- Analyze financial data to identify tax implications, opportunities, and potential risks.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and recommend actions to maintain compliance and optimize tax positions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of progressive tax accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of tax and accounting principles.
- Ability to research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and technical guidance.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- CPA certification or active progress toward obtaining CPA certification.
- Master's degree in Taxation.
- Public accounting firm experience.
- Experience with in the real estate industry.
- Familiarity with tax research software and tools.
