Description Join Our Mission
Park DuValle Community Health Center (PDCHC) is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to help support our commitment to serving the community. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable transactions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, internal controls, and accounting standards. The position partners with the Finance Department to maintain accurate financial records and support efficient financial operations.
PositionResponsibilities
- Process vendor invoices accurately and timely in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Review, verify, and code invoices, ensuring proper approvals and supporting documentation are obtained prior to payment.
- Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments.
- Maintain vendor records, including tax documentation, payment information, and contact details.
- Reconcile vendor statements, accounts payable balances, and outstanding transactions; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, internal controls, grant requirements, and audit standards.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, audits, 1099 reporting, and other financial reporting requirements.
- Monitor accounts payable activities, identify process improvements, and support efficient financial operations.
- Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central to process, track, and maintain accounts payable records.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors while providing excellent customer service and support.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two (2) or more years of accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting support experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar accounting software.
- Knowledge of accounts payable processes, accounting principles, and financial recordkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work independently.
- Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, community health center, or grant-funded organizations.
