What We Are Looking For
This position oversees the revenue and billing accounting functions for the Gulf Liquids Region of the Terminal division.
What You Will Do- This position will report to the Region Accounting Supervisor.
- Perform monthly billing function and related credit memos.
- Review and analyze contracts that relate to the recording of revenue for the region.
- Understand the revenue recognition criteria and apply these accounting principles toward the various contractual arrangements within the region.
- Understand KM's ASC 606 and 842 requirements and perform related analysis and disclosure.
- Assist with monthly SOX reporting.
- Assist with internal and external auditors’ requests as needed.
- Participant in monthly close with limited journal entry responsibilities
- Other daily, weekly and monthly duties and special projects as assigned
- Deal with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy and professionalism
- Three years or more of billing or revenue accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline required.
- Working experience with customer contract preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and analytical skills. Proficiency in business writing is required.
- PC skills with hands on knowledge of Microsoft Office. Experience with Lawson a plus.
- Excellent account reconciliation and research skills.
- Must be able to multi-task, detail oriented and has strong organization skills.
- Has sense of urgency to compete assigned tasks on time and accurately.
- Overtime may be required at quarter/year-end or as needed, including holidays
