Assistant Director of Accounting
Appalachia Service Project, Inc., a nonprofit organization which repairs and builds new homes for low-income families seeks Assistant Director of Accounting to manage construction related financial data, process grant costs and disbursements, reconcile bank statements and manage accounting of construction costs.
Responsibilities- manage construction related financial data
- process grant costs and disbursements
- reconcile bank statements and manage accounting of construction costs
- Must have Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 2 years combined accounting and project management experience
- including cost accounting
- providing financial reporting
- bank reconciliations
- identify work efficiencies
- experience in month and year-end closing
- bank reconciliations
- proficiency using an integrated general ledger accounting program, such as Quickbooks and Microsoft Great Plains, Business Central and/or Excel applications
