WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Vice President of Finance, Corporate Controller, you'll lead Hunter Truck's accounting organization while serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership. You'll oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, and process improvement initiatives that support our continued growth, ensuring financial integrity while building scalable systems and developing high-performing teams.

  • Lead the accounting organization, including financial reporting, accounting operations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable across multiple locations
  • Coach, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive strategic financial planning, budgeting, and operational decision-making
  • Oversee monthly and year-end close processes while ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and GAAP compliance
  • Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors and maintain compliance with applicable accounting regulations
  • Improve working capital performance through effective oversight of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and financial system enhancements to improve efficiency and scalability
  • Develop KPIs, dashboards, and financial performance metrics that provide actionable business insights
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and other strategic growth initiatives
  • Build strong partnerships with operational leaders to strengthen financial performance across the organization
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Education & Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred. Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience, including a combination of public accounting and Controller or Corporate Controller experience. Proven success partnering with business leaders, implementing financial systems and process improvements, and leading high-performing accounting organizations. Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership skills required.
  • Travel Requirements:
    Occasional travel, including overnight travel, to branch locations as business needs require.
  • Certificates & Licenses:
    Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
    Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards
  • Physical Requirements:

    Frequently standing and sitting; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and focus adjustment.
