LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant for a growing organization in Houston, TX. • Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining general ledger accuracy
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end close processes
• Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies or variances
• Support fixed asset accounting, depreciation tracking, and account maintenance
• Prepare account schedules and supporting documentation for audits
• Assist with financial reporting and internal management reports
• Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to ensure accurate financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and workflows
• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2+ years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting principles
• Experience with account reconciliations and month‑end close activities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
• Experience with ERP or accounting software systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills

• Experience with fixed assets, lease accounting, or complex reconciliations
• Public accounting or corporate accounting background
• Advanced Excel skills
• CPA designation or CPA‑track candidates are encouraged to apply

• Pay range: $31-$38 per hour
• Pay Details: $31.00 to $37.00 per hour
