What's the role?
As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for overseeing cash accounting activities, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and related month-end close processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting timely reporting, and maintaining strong controls over cash and intercompany balances.
How can you add value? Cash Accounting & Treasury Support- Perform and review daily and monthly cash reconciliations across multiple bank accounts and legal entities.
- Record and reconcile cash receipts, disbursements, bank fees, transfers, and other cash-related transactions.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding and unusual cash reconciling items.
- Support cash forecasting and liquidity reporting activities as required.
- Partner with Treasury and Accounts Payable/Receivable teams to resolve cash-related discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of bank activity in the general ledger.
- Manage and reconcile intercompany balances and transactions across multiple legal entities.
- Prepare and review intercompany journal entries, settlements, allocations, and confirmations.
- Investigate and resolve intercompany discrepancies and aged balances.
- Coordinate with global accounting teams to ensure transactions are recorded consistently and accurately.
- Support intercompany netting and settlement processes.
- Ensure intercompany accounts are properly reconciled and cleared on a timely basis.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and journal entries as part of the monthly and quarterly close.
- Analyze balance sheet accounts and identify unusual or aging items.
- Support the preparation of financial statements and management reporting.
- Ensure all assigned accounting activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
- Assist with audit requests and provide supporting documentation as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reduce manual activities, and strengthen controls.
- Develop and maintain accounting procedures and documentation.
- Support automation and standardization initiatives across cash and intercompany processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements.
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned
- Demonstrates and ensures compliance with the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America's policies and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

Experience:
Bachelors degree required in Accounting; CPA and/ormaster’s degree in accounting preferred.
4-7 years of experience in the accounting/financial reporting areas.
OtherQualifications:
- Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English).
- Experience with large automated accounting systems. Possess strong experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, meet deadlines and be able to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
- Good analytical and financial planning skills.
- Accounting and reporting knowledge – particularly in US GAAP.
