Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
JOB SUMMARYThe Lead Revenue Auditor assists in the supervision of Revenue Auditors and the daily audit of the facility’s revenue. Leads implementation of department policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures in accordance with gaming regulations and internal controls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Provides day-to-day leadership and support for the Revenue Audit function, including the daily audit of revenue for gaming operations, mutuels, player services, complimentary services/items, food & beverage, and other applicable revenue-generating areas.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and technical support to Revenue Audit team members and assists with training and development as assigned.
- Assists with planning and implementing audit schedules to provide sufficient coverage of all operations while promoting the efficient use of departmental resources.
- Performs audits of all gaming and non-gaming areas of operations according to established procedures, internal controls, applicable regulations, and related reports.
- Collects, verifies, analyzes, and reconciles revenue figures using available electronic systems, reports, and supporting documentation. Analyzes revenue variances and discrepancies, research underlying causes, documents findings, and communicates significant issues to appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Reviews audit checklists and exception reports for compliance, accuracy, completeness, and timely response.
- Identifies, documents, and reports exceptions and violations of company policies and procedures, Louisiana State Police – Gaming Enforcement Division requirements, Louisiana State Racing Commission requirements, and applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
- Measures, analyzes, evaluate, and reports on the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance with internal controls.
- Communicate effectively with team members, department supervisors, management, and other departments to address issues, resolve discrepancies, facilitate timely corrective action, and ensure documentation is accurate, complete, timely, and maintained in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Utilizes casino management systems, electronic reporting systems, Microsoft Office applications, accounting software, electronic audit tools, and other available technologies to improve the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of revenue audit processes.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline audit procedures, reduce redundant and manual processes, and improve electronic documentation and workflow efficiency while maintaining required documentation, audit trails, record retention, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintains confidentiality of financial, operational, employee, and company information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrated leadership ability, including the ability to provide guidance and technical support to team members, assist with training, and communicate effectively with supervisors, management, and other departments.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to identify trends, variances, discrepancies, and control weaknesses.
- Ability to read, interpret, and communicate complex instructions, policies, procedures, regulations, reports, correspondence, and other business documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
