We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant (Part-time/ Seasonal) to join our growing team. This position is closely related to our Accounting and Tax Practice, focusing on small businesses and mid-sized companies across a range of industries, such as Real Estate, Construction, E-Commerce, Healthcare, Law Firms, and other relevant industries.
Essential Functions and Primary ResponsibilitiesA typical day as a Senior Tax Accountant might include:
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and allocations.
- Prepare and/or review tax returns for S Corporation, Partnership, or individuals, including federal, foreign, state, and local tax returns.
- Prepare and review monthly financial transactions.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, balance sheet, and P&L.
- Review and verify complex account balances, ensuring financial integrity, and assisting with the month-end closing process.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).
- 3–5 years of progressive tax and accounting experience.
- 3–5 years of experience with accounting and tax software, including but not limited to Drake Tax, Quick Books Online, or similar.
- 3–5 years of experience working with construction, real estate, and other small businesses.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and clients.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
CompensationHourly Rate plus bonus: $25–55 per hour, depending on experience, location, and level. The position also includes a generous annual bonus.
