Joining H&R Block as a Seasonal,
Virtual Partnerships Tax Professional means you'll serve high-value clients within our Premium Partnership Program, providing personalized tax expertise and an exceptional virtual client experience. You'll support complex tax situations while delivering proactive guidance, tax planning insights, and tailored solutions that help clients navigate their unique financial circumstances with confidence. Success in this role requires advanced tax expertise, outstanding communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality tax solutions tailored to each client's unique financial circumstances.
Day to day you'll...
- Serve as a trusted tax advisor to high-value clients within the Premium Partnership Program, delivering personalized service and an exceptional virtual client experience.
- Prepare and review complex individual tax returns involving K-1 partnerships, S-corporations, multi-state filings, rental real estate, self-employment income, investments, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth tax situations.
- Provide proactive tax planning guidance and explain tax implications clearly, helping clients make informed financial decisions.
- Build lasting client relationships through timely communication, consultative support, and responsive follow-up throughout the tax preparation process.
- Navigate advanced tax scenarios including stock compensation (RSUs and stock options) and other complex income structures.
- Research complex tax matters and develop accurate, tailored solutions that meet each client's unique needs.
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail while handling sensitive financial information.
- Stay current on tax laws, regulations, and H&R Block tools through ongoing training and professional development.
- Collaborate with peers and tax experts to share knowledge and continuously enhance the client experience.
- Three years of tax preparation or review experience required. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent education and practical experience will also be considered.
- Experience with IRS transcripts, amendments, and prior year return identification
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on virtual collaboration, including the ability to communicate clearly, provide constructive feedback, and engage effectively across digital platforms.
- Strong knowledge of tax law, with the ability to explain personal tax concepts relevant to H&R Block’s client base
- Analytical skills to interpret, assess, and resolve both routine and complex tax situations
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, collaborative team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrolled Agent, Attorney, or CPA designation
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
