Position Title: Accounting Coordinator
Position Type: Part-Time (24 hours/week)
Supervisor: Finance Manager / Assistant Treasurer
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Coordinator to join our finance team and support our mission through accurate and efficient management of accounts payable.
Position Summary: The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for managing all accounts payable functions and related processes while ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of financial information. This position also maintains the integrity of financial systems, records and data to support efficient accounting operations. The role requires strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively within a faith-based nonprofit organization.
The person supports the vision and mission of the Missouri Conference and its leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Functions: Process payables in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Financial allocations, tracking, reporting and reconciliations: Including but not limited to 1099 processing and grant financial reporting.
- Stakeholder Relations: Assist Conference, district and local church staff with accounts payable matters.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting policies. Assist with audits, provide documentation and respond to auditor inquiries as needed.
- Support: Provide support with special projects and other duties as determined by the Finance Manager.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or higher. Relevant financial or accounting training or certification is a plus.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping or a similar financial role, preferably within a non-profit organization.

Work Environment: This position is on-site in an office setting. Some flexibility may be required to meet deadlines or attend meetings.
