** Summary of Position
** The
** Institutional Billing and Collections Specialist
** is responsible for the hybrid Billing & Collection functions for institution clients. You will divide your time between the billing and the collection functions equally to achieve our Account Receivable targets.  The candidate should have knowledge of general accounting principles and be proficient at MS Office (especially Excel). The applicant should display a positive and proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize and multitask and be a strong communicator, both electronically and over the phone, as he or she will frequently deal with higher levels of management.

*** Invoice Generation:
Prepare and send complete and accurate physical or electronic invoices to clients based on contracts, LSA’s or price lists using electronic software.
* Payment Tracking:
Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations to monitor accounts for outstanding balances and follow up on late accounts.
* Dispute Resolution:
Answer client billing questions and resolve pricing or payment discrepancies through clear communication.
* Record Keeping:
Maintain organized financial logs, update customer database accounts, and prepare periodic aging reports to identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management.
* Cross-Functional Support:
Coordinate with sales, project management, and accounting departments to verify billing data and to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis.## Qualifications
** Knowledge/Experience
**
* Education:

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus,

* Experience:

2 to 3+ years of experience in medical billing, accounts receivables, collections, or customer service finance roles. Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures is a plus.
* Software Proficiency:
Basic math and strong familiarity with Excel including formulas, data filtering and formatting, bookkeeping platforms Net Suite, or ERP systems like Quadax, Xifin.

* Soft Skills:

Excellent strong communication  skills, including writing, speaking and active listening, and customer service skills to handle sensitive financial discussions related to billing disputes or payment processes. Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
* Attention to Detail:
High accuracy in data entry and a strong grasp of basic math and accounting principles to produce quality work.
