- Perform and coordinate accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payments, reconciliations, financial records, and month-end reporting.
- Maintain accurate business records and compliance documentation including insurance, licenses, certificates, tax documents, vendor records, and other required company documentation.
- Provide administrative support to leadership by preparing reports and documents, coordinating financials, tracking projects, assisting with special projects, and helping resolve day-to-day business needs.
- Coordinate with employees, vendors, customers, and outside professionals while identifying opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, control costs, and keep business operations organized.
- Manage daily office operations including administrative tasks, correspondence, scheduling, filing, purchasing, supplies, vendor coordination, and general office support.
- Support payroll and employee administration including timekeeping, new-hire paperwork, onboarding/orientation, employee records, benefits administration, and other personnel-related processes.
Skills:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2-5 years of experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and/or general office administration preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience with accounting, payroll, ERP, or other business software preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to handle confidential employee, financial, and company information with discretion and integrity.
The Business Administration Professional is responsible for supporting the day-to-day administrative, financial, and operational functions of Wabash Valley Produce. This position works closely with leadership and employees to keep office processes and bookkeeping organized, accurate, and efficient.
The role is highly versatile and requires someone who can manage multiple priorities, maintain confidential information, coordinate with employees and vendors, and take ownership of administrative and accounting responsibilities. The position will assist with accounts payable and receivable, purchasing, bookkeeping, payroll, employee onboarding, and office operations.
