Accounting Supervisor

Summary: The Accounting Supervisor assists the Assistant Controller and VP of Accounting, supervises and executes accounting and reporting.

• Oversee accounting operations which include general ledger or accounts receivable.
• Ensure that all Company financial statements are reported in compliance with GAAP.
• Ensure accuracy, propriety and completeness for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing.
• Assist with the year-end external audits and bank audits.
• Review monthly profit and loss statements.
• Ensure all account reconciliations are performed each period and reviewed.
• Provide Accounting research and guidance as needed for changes, new endeavors or clarification to ensure compliance with GAAP.

Education and/or

Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration required, 3 to 5 years related accounting experience required and 3 to 5 years supervisory experience preferred. Experience with Microsoft Excel required. Must be able to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients, customers, and the general public.

Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
