Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time position based in Cameron, Louisiana. In this role, you will work cross-functionally across Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Construction, FP&A, and Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong operational support.

• Support operational accounting processes including commodities and warehouse inventory accounting, maintenance and operations cost reporting, and safeguarding of facility assets.
• Prepare, calculate, and record monthly accruals, journal entries, and adjusting entries within the SAP ERP system.
• Serve as the Accounting lead for inventory safeguarding activities and cycle count processes.
• Act as the onsite Accounting lead for capital projects and related fixed asset accounting activities.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and reporting packages.
• Complete monthly account reconciliations, investigate variances, and submit reconciliations.
• Coordinate with the Corporate Accounting team to ensure operational activity is accurately recorded, reconciled, reviewed, and reported in accordance with monthly, quarterly, and annual close timelines.

• Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting processes, and financial reporting principles
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Preferred
  • Operational, manufacturing, energy, or industrial accounting experience
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification
  • Experience with SAP and/or other large ERP systems
  • Knowledge of construction project accounting and fixed asset accounting concepts
