Staff Accountant

Lone Star Bakery, Inc
. is looking for a Staff Accountant to support the day-to-day operations of the company, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank and account reconciliations, and support the monthly financial closing process.

• Prepare month-end journal entries, reconcile cash, and general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end closing process, including accruals, prepaid amortization, and depreciation schedules..
• Assist inventory control processes by reviewing or posting inventory count adjustments.
• Maintain fixed assets schedules and inventory.
• Review and calculate commission payout based on contract.
• Support sales and use tax, property tax, and other regulatory filings as needed
• Assist with the annual audit and other external reporting requests
• Work solutions from beginning to end.
• Participate in special projects as needed – such as research, decision support, and ad hoc reporting requests.
• Build strong relationships within the company and maintain an open flow of communication.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Relevant bachelor’s degree required (Finance, Accounting or another related field).
• 1+ years of experience in accounting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
• A desire to be a significant contributor to a fast-paced growth strategy.
• ERP and Sharepoint/Teams experience
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Advanced Excel Skills a plus
• Possess analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
