• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field from an accredited institution; CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible accounting experience, including at least three years in a supervisory or management capacity; experience in nonprofit and/or healthcare environments, including skilled nursing or assisted living, strongly preferred.
• Experience working with or supporting religious organizations, including an understanding of mission-based governance, stewardship, and the need to align financial practices with organizational values, preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting, fund and donor-restriction accounting, financial reporting, and the design and monitoring of effective internal controls.
• Demonstrated experience managing the monthly and year-end close, reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and net assets with donor restrictions.
• Demonstrated proficiency with accounting and billing systems, including the ability to improve workflows, strengthen data integrity, and support system implementation or optimization; experience with Multiview and Point Click Care  preferred.
• Experience in operational and capital budget preparation, including business plans.
• Experience in preparing financial and variance analysis.
• Demonstrates excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Must be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
