As a US
Tax Accountant
, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of income and operational tax functions within the Finance team. This role focuses on tax compliance, provision, and supporting corporate accounting activities
, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Support the income tax provision process
, including current and deferred tax calculations and preparation of supporting work papers
Assist in implementing company tax strategies, including Section 280E compliance and documentation
Participate in tax planning initiatives
, including transfer pricing studies
Prepare and manage tax compliance filings
, including sales & use tax, personal property tax, and other regulatory filings
Support quarterly and annual audit processes
, including documentation aligned with ASC 740
Assist in M&A-related tax activities as required
Coordinate income tax and operational tax filings and ensure timely compliance
Prepare supporting schedules for financial statements and regulatory filings
Perform period-end close activities
, including tax-related entries
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries arising from reconciliations
Investigate variances and support internal stakeholders with financial and tax-related queries
Maintain standard operating procedures
, including month-end and month-beginning checklists
Ensure effective internal controls and documentation standards are maintained
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
Candidate Requirements3+ years of experience in tax/accounting
Strong understanding of tax compliance and accounting principles
Exposure to tax provision (current & deferred) is preferred
Familiarity with US GAAP (ASC 740) is a plus
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in teams
High attention to detail and accuracy
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CA or CPA preferred (not mandatory)
Shift: CST Shift (US hours)
Work Mode: Remote (WFH)
