Description

Dassault Falcon Jet recently opened a state-of-the-art flagship Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility at the Melbourne Orlando International Airport (KMLB) in Melbourne, Florida. Dassault Falcon Jet will serve customers across North and South America and beyond, the complex will accommodate all current Falcon models, (including the new, ultra-long-range Falcon 10X, the largest purpose-built business jet), and will be capable of performing major maintenance and modifications on up to 18 Falcon models.

Job Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and other related reports. The position investigates variances, maintains complete and accurate supporting documentation, supports internal controls and audits, and collaborates with business partners to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of the accounting process.

  • Assists in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements.
  • Performs month-end close activities and journal entries as necessary.
  • Reconciles balance sheet accounts and prepares monthly account analysis; researches and resolves reconciliation differences and recommends corrective actions within established departmental deadlines.
  • Coordinates with finance, tax, accounts payable, and other business partners when researching financial transactions and results.
  • Contributes to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Supports internal controls, audit requests, and adherence to corporate accounting policies in a regulated aerospace environment.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably including journal entry preparation and account reconciliation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data analysis functions, and proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • A working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control principles.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Consistent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.

Additional Desired

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance and/or CPA certification or CPA candidate.
  • Ability to work with IT to implement automation initiatives.
  • Prior experience with SAP or related ERP system is preferred.

Working Conditions:

Office environment with extensive computer use.

The compensation for this position typically falls between $56,000 and $69,000 per hour. This position is not eligible for overtime. This position may be eligible for a sign on bonus, shift differential or relocation assistance.

Note, the final compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of relevant experience, Falcon‑specific experience, relevant education/certifications, geographic location, and shift.
