AR Accountant

Location: Vero Beach, FL

Compensation: $75,000–$80,000 annually

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our accounting team in a key role supporting the company’s receivables and broader accounting operations. This position will be responsible for managing day-to-day AR activities, ensuring accurate and timely cash application, account reconciliations, customer account maintenance, and month-end close support.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, solid accounting knowledge, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with
Coupa and/or Ariba is highly desirable, particularly for candidates who have worked in environments with complex purchasing, invoicing, and vendor/customer processes.

Manage day-to-day accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash application, payment processing, and account reconciliation.

Maintain accurate customer accounts and ensure transactions are properly recorded.

Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding balances and discrepancies.

Research and resolve customer payment issues, short pays, deductions, and account discrepancies.

Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting documentation.

Assist with monthly and quarterly close activities, including AR reporting and reconciliations.

Review transactions for accuracy and ensure proper application of payments.

Work cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Operations, Sales, Procurement, and customers to resolve issues.

Assist with improving AR processes, reporting, and internal controls.

Support audit requests and provide documentation as needed.

Utilize ERP and financial systems to maintain accurate accounting records.

Assist with special projects and other accounting responsibilities as needed.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

3–7+ years of accounting experience with a strong emphasis on Accounts Receivable.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes.

Experience with high-volume AR transactions and customer account management.

Coupa experience strongly preferred.

Ariba experience is a major plus.

Experience with an ERP/accounting system such as Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, or similar.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers.

Comfortable working independently while also collaborating across departments.
