Specific Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

The Sr. Associate, Accounts Receivable oversees collections for high-value strategic customers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target, and manages the resolution of EDI invoice rejections. This role supervises offshore staff, resolves complex payment and invoicing issues, improves processes, and partners with internal and external teams to optimize cash flow and minimize past-due receivables. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts receivable and EDI processes, along with the ability to identify root causes, resolve issues efficiently, and drive continuous improvement.

  • Supervise offshore Genpact Collections team to ensure work is completed accurately and timely.
  • Manage collections for North American strategic customers, including Amazon, Walmart, and Target, by identifying the root causes of payment delays and driving timely resolution.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of customer accounts and investigate/resolve payment terms discrepancies.
  • Monitor Average Days Delinquent (ADD), identify payment trends and underlying issues, and implement actions to improve customer payment performance.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, Sales, and Business Unit partners to facilitate the timely escalation and resolution of issues.
  • Prepare reports and provide management with recommendations regarding significant balances, risks, operational issues, and collection performance.
  • Manage EDI invoice-rejection process, ensuring rejected invoices are researched, corrected, retriggered, and resolved promptly.
  • Support system implementation or upgrades related to accounts receivable functions.
  • Address escalations from customers and internal teams regarding collection.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal and external controls, and audit requirements.

The successful candidate has the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to solve problems, make informed decisions, and develop creative solutions. Additional skills needed are strong analytical, excellent customer service, clear communication, and the commitment to meet defined SLAs. The candidate must have the ability to embrace change in a fast-paced environment.

Key

Qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and team-management abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of and have demonstrated experience with EDI and Collection.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP, Power BI, OnBase, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel).
  • Strong working knowledge of accounts receivable activities.
  • Experience working with Genpact (3rd party BPO).
  • Strong work ethic, including commitment to delivering results against a project plan with tight deadlines.
  • The ability to work independently and a contributing team player.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a fast-paced business AR environment and/or bachelor’s degree

The Remote base pay range for this position is from $54,400 to $74,800. Salary will be based on prior experience related to the skills required for this position.
