Storm Duty Requirements
Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.

Responsible for executing corporate accounting activities related to Tampa Electric Company and its affiliates, including enterprise-wide accounting with a focus in ERP accounting systems, general ledger processing and journal entry creation. Responsibilities include cash clearing processes, specific accounting, and analysis, and supporting other financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities and/or Learning Objectives- Preparing Journal Entries
- Payment Postings
- Creation of Invoices
- Audit Requests
- Assistance with Closeout
- Any ad hoc misc. requests as needed

QUALIFICATIONS EducationThe successful applicant should be enrolled in an accredited university as a college undergraduate or a graduate level post-secondary educational program in a related discipline.
Co-Op Requirements- To qualifyas a co-op student, enrollment in the university’s co-op program (proof of enrollment required); if not eligible for co-op program (or program unavailable), the student will be considered an intern.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is required.
