Job Description Advertised:
The Accounts Payable Analyst performs Accounts Payable payment request and research functions which may include posting, updating, reconciling, auditing, and preparing invoices for payment. Performs and researches the Accounts Payable exceptions analyzing and determining solutions.
Job Related Minimum Required
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED . Requires 2 or more years of job related experience.
Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials:
- None specified.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business related field with 2 years of accounting experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, theories and terminology of accounting/bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of state government fiscal accounting processes.
- Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform analysis of financial records.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively.

Job Duty Reviews and analyzes the daily exceptions to determine solutions for clearing exceptions. Communicate with Purchasing and Departments/Campuses to assist with solutions for clearing the exceptions.

Job Duty Prepares, reviews, and audits AP Upload payments for Accounts Payable which includes auditing, analyzing, and reviewing payments for accuracy and compliance with all University policies and procedures as well as state and federal laws and regulations.
