Due to our continued growth, KWN is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant/Tax Preparer to join our team. We welcome candidates ranging from entry level to experienced professionals.
In this role, you'll work alongside our experienced tax professionals preparing tax returns for a diverse client base while gaining valuable hands-on experience. Depending on your experience level, the position may also include client meetings and tax planning opportunities.
Preferred experience entry level – 3 years, however we will consider other experienced hires. The ideal candidate will have some of these qualifications, however we provide entry level training:- Providing tax services to a diverse client base or a desire to grow into this space
- Experience preparing individual, corporate and partnership tax returns
- Preparation of compiled financial statements
- Experience with CS Professional Suite of Tax and Accounting Products
- Working knowledge of Quick Books desktop or Quick Books online
- Bachelor’ Degree with a major in Accounting
- Licensed Certified Public Accountant or in the process of obtaining license
- Must have a solid understanding of general accounting practices and principals.
- Client-focused work ethic and business mindset
- Passion for high-level client service and deliverables
- Excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and achieve project budgets
- Ability to interact positively in a professional manner with co-workers and clients
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Comfortable with electronic work papers and a paperless environment
