Crestwood Branch | Library AssistantThe role of Library Assistant is part-time and non-exempt.
We are currently looking for two part-time Library Assistants at our Crestwood location:
Weekly hours will range from 10-15 per week with the following shifts currently available, at least one Saturday per month is required:
- Mondays 2:15 pm – 7:15 pm (5 hrs)
- Fridays
- Saturdays
Salary:
Starting at $15.00

About the JobWhat You'll Do:
- (1) Assist customers in the use of library materials and services
- (2) Carry out circulation procedures
- (3) Check library materials in and out and register new card holders
- (4) Assist other library staff with a variety of library and collection maintenance tasks as assigned.
Who You Are: An enthusiastic learner with a high school diploma or GED and public service work experience.
The Library Assistant generally works an established schedule, which may include some weekend and evening hours. Additional hours may be provided on a temporary basis for staff substitution, staff training, and/or special projects. Additional staff time may be offered at the discretion of the Supervisor.
