Position Title: Sr. Administrator, Grants

About the RoleThe Senior Administrator, Grants & Contracts is responsible for ensuring that proposed projects comply with a wide array of federal compliance as well as internal and external procedural requirements, facilitating proposal reviews and submissions, and assisting with identified programs requiring budgetary tasks and maintenance.
The Senior Administrator, Grants & Contracts is responsible for managing all aspects of assigned grant proposals and received grant awards to NKU, including fostering relationships and maintaining expertise with federal, state, local, and private funding agencies.
Responsibilities include assisting with external web-based database for all grant activity, training users in Research, Grant & Contracts (RGC) interactive web-based software platforms, presenting outreach activities to faculty and staff pertaining to external funding and federal regulations, and providing budgetary assistance to internal university research‑related programs, etc.
Focus will be on research development activities, funding searches, and the review and processing of externally funded grant proposals.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Research Administration, Business Management, Accounting, Finance or similar and three years of experience required.
- Familiar with Federal Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars
- Technically proficient in grant specific web-based interactive content development
- Experienced with multiple types of databases and possess the skills to make necessary adaptations
- Create SOPs and training materials for faculty and staff pertaining to interactive research compliance programs and various databases.
- Experience with budgetary development and controls required.
- Familiarity with NKU policies, procedures and processes aplus
