Overview
Location: National Headquarters, Edinburgh
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
The Scottish Ambulance Service is seeking two proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistants to join our Accounts Payable and Receivable team, based at our National Headquarters in Edinburgh.
We currently have one permanent position and one fixed-term position for 12 months. Flexible working arrangements are currently under review; however, attendance in the office will be required for at least one day per week.
Responsibilities- Process high volumes of invoices efficiently to support timely supplier payments and effective query resolution.
- Raise charges to public and private organisations for services provided, ensuring prompt, accurate invoicing and adherence to debt collection procedures.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and confidence in learning new systems.
- Excellent telephone manner, accurate data entry skills, and strong keyboard capability.
- Experience with purchase ordering and finance systems within a finance team (desirable).
- A collaborative approach with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with colleagues and external partners.
