The role of Library Assistant is part-time and non-exempt.

• Location: Crestwood Branch, Oldham County Public Library
• Shifts:
  • Mondays: 2:15 pm – 7:15 pm (5 hrs)
  • Thursdays: 2:15 pm – 7:15 pm (5 hrs)
  • Saturdays: 2:15 pm – 7:15 pm (5 hrs)
• Salary: Starting at $15.00
• Benefits: Sick and Vacation leave
• Start Date: Starting ASAP

What You'll Do:

• Assist customers in the use of library materials and services
• Carry out circulation procedures
• Check library materials in and out and register new card holders
• Assist other library staff with a variety of library and collection maintenance tasks as assigned.

Who You Are: An enthusiastic learner with a high school diploma or GED and public service work experience.

Scheduling: The Library Assistant generally works an established schedule, which may include some weekend and evening hours. Additional hours may be provided on a temporary basis for staff substitution, staff training, and/or special projects. Additional staff time may be offered at the discretion of the Supervisor.
