The incumbent serves as the Assistant to the Chief of Operations and provides administrative support and administrative coordination for the Office of the Provost. The incumbent will also provide backup support to the Executive Assistant to the Provost and Assistant to Vice Provost, Academic Planning.
Key Responsibilities- Provides administrative support to the Chief of Operations. Drafts and prepares agendas, reports, letters, memos, and presentations for university, departmental, and external meetings at the direction of the Chief of Operations.
- Supports administrative functions and provides administrative coordination for the Office of the Provost. Provides backup support to the Executive Assistant to the Provost and Assistant to the Vice Provost for Academic Planning.

Duration of AppointmentThis is a temporary position for one year with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
CompensationSalary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

The hiring rate is up to $4,367 - CSU Classification Salary Range:
The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,367 (Step #1) - $6,362 (Step #20) per month.
To be eligible for full benefits, employees must be appointed at least half-time (.50 FTE) with an appointment lasting more than six months and one day. Benefits eligibility and offerings may vary based on appointment type, classification, and applicable collective bargaining agreement. Familiarity with CSULB campus policies and procedures. Able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Working experience in using Excel and Word software.
