Citizens for Responsible Energy Solutions (CRES) is a non‑profit organization founded in 2013 to engage Republican policymakers and the public about responsible, conservative solutions to address our nation’s energy, economic and environmental security while increasing America’s competitive edge. This work includes building out robust political and advocacy operations to support Republican clean energy champions in the U.S. House and Senate. In addition to working with members of Congress and legislative staffs to discuss policy ideas, the CRES team members also collaborate with industry representatives and subject matter experts in their mission to bring Americans together to solve our most pressing issues.

CRES policy goals include:

  • Reducing global emissions and growing the U.S. economy
  • Enacting policy that builds off historically successful approaches to affordable clean energy
  • Affordably reducing domestic emissions in a manner that can beleveragedglobally
Scope of Work:

The Events Coordinator plays  a critical role in the Communications& Event steam by supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of a dynamic and impactful portfolio of events for CRES and CRES Forum. These events include National Clean Energy Week, COP (Conference of the Parties), salon dinners, CRES Forum events, the annual fly-inand more. Reporting to the Director of Events, this position ensures that all logistical and operational aspects are handled efficiently and professionally, contributing to the success of each event.

The Events Coordinator will  work closely with the Director of Events, alongside other CRES departments, to provide critical support and ensure seamless execution of all event logistics.

The role requires engaging with high‑profile stakeholders such as policymakers, corporatepartnersand foundations. The ideal candidate can articulate what is needed to create successful events whilemaintainingcollaborativedemeanor.

Responsibilities:

Event Logistics and Coordination:

  • Partner with the Director of Events on the planning and execution of large‑scale conferences and special events, while serving as the lead planner for smaller events and programs.

    This includes venue selection, vendor coordination, catering arrangements, etc.
  • Manage event timelines, ensuring deadlines for deliverables are met.
  • Support the Director of Eventswithtracking event budgets and expenses.

Event Promotion and Communication:

  • Coordinate with the Communications team to develop promotional materials and manage event invitations and RSVPs.
  • Build andmaintainevent websites, registration paths, communications, and attendee records in Cvent.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication with stakeholders and attendees.

On‑Site Event Support:

  • Provide hands‑onassistanceduring events, including registration, guestassistanceand troubleshooting as needed.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors and venue staff for assigned events, ensuring smooth communication and execution.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed records of event metrics, attendeefeedbackand post‑event reports to inform future planning.
  • Utilize tools such as Salesforce and Cvent for tracking event data.
  • Partner with the External Relations, Communications,Policyand Government Relations teams to align eventobjectiveswith organizational priorities.
  • Support the development of briefing materials and agendas for event participants.

General Administrative Support:

  • Prepare and manage expense reports while providing meeting support by taking detailed notes to ensureaccuratedocumentation and follow‑up.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks related to event planning and execution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
