Description SUMMARY
The Communication Coordinator supports the planning and execution of parish communications by preparing and distributing information across print and digital platforms. This position coordinates communication efforts across parish ministries, manages content and communication channels, and ensures consistent and effective messaging aligned with parish priorities.

- Manages and maintains content across parish communication platforms, including social media, website, and digital channels.
- Coordinates communication efforts across parish ministries to ensure timely, accurate, and consistent messaging.
- Develops, prepares, and distributes parish communications, including newsletters, announcements, and digital content.
- Maintains and updates the parish website, including calendar, content, and directory information.
- Creates, edits, and publishes written and visual content for parish communications.
- Develops and executes communication and marketing efforts to promote parish initiatives and events.
- Tracks and analyzes website and social media metrics and prepares reports to evaluate communication effectiveness.
- Maintains a communication calendar and coordinates content scheduling.
- Ensures communications align with diocesan communications policies, standards, and guidance.
- Coordinates and provides logistical support for parish events, meetings, and special activities, including scheduling, room arrangements, materials, equipment, and hospitality needs.
- Coordinates event communications and promotional activities, including invitations, registrations, RSVPs, and related materials.
- Coordinates with staff, volunteers, vendors, and other participants to support the successful execution of parish events.
- Provides on-site support for events and activities, including occasional evening and weekend events, as required.
- Assists with development and stewardship activities, including donor communications, correspondence, acknowledgments, mailings, and related materials.
- Maintains and updates donor and development records and assists with ensuring information is accurate and current.
- Assists with the preparation and distribution of materials for fundraising campaigns, appeals, sponsor ships, and other development initiatives.
- Supports the planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship events in coordination with the Communications Development Manager.
- Assists with communications promoting development initiatives and events across print, email, website, social media, and other communication channels.
- Coordinates with staff, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, donors, and other participants in support of development activities and events.
- Assists the Communications Development Manager with development-related reports, correspondence, records, and other administrative functions as assigned.
- Provides backup reception and front-office coverage as needed, including answering and screening telephone calls, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member or department.
- Assists parishioners, visitors, vendors, and other guests in a courteous, professional, and welcoming manner.
- Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and packages and assists with outgoing mail as needed.
- Monitors telephone messages and other front-office communications during reception coverage and routes information to appropriate staff in a timely manner.
- Assists with maintaining meeting, office, and hospitality supplies and coordinates replenishment as needed.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
