Job Summary:The Research Administrative Specialist provides administrative and operational support for the research station. This role is responsible for coordinating administrative processes, maintaining research records and data, supporting shipping and logistics, and assisting with activities that contribute to the successful execution of research projects.
This is a part-time position working 29 hours a week.
- Provide administrative support for the research facility and station operations.
- Maintain research records, databases, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
- Coordinate office administrative functions, including mail distribution, bookkeeping support, office supply inventory, and purchasing.
- Coordinate domestic and international shipping activities, including shipments to counter-season research facilities.
- Assist with planning and coordinating regional and local research meetings and events.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and administrative processing of temporary and seasonal employees.
- Assist with seed packaging, planting, and other research-related activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
