The Assistant Director for Transfer Admissions supports the Associate Director to ensure that the transfer applications are processed in an efficient and timely manner. The team member serves as the primary Articulation Officer and supervises the team that evaluates transfer documents and credits. The position involves working across systems like Slate and the UT Mainframe to process applications, while partnering with leadership to maintain accurate processes, publications, and communications.

It also serves as a liaison to campus stakeholders, resolves application issues, and contributes to additional processing tasks and office-wide initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise team responsible for application completion and credit review for transfer admission.
  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with university policies.
  • Provide training, daily guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Serve as the primary Articulation Officer.
  • Provide articulation support to the processing team, including evaluating transfer credit from domestic and international institutions, maintaining articulation rules, processing transfer files, and resolving complex credit issues.
  • Work across multiple systems (including Slate CRM and UT Mainframe) to process application materials and complete applications.
  • Maintain the Automatic Transfer Equivalency (ATE) system and other tools such as community college transfer guides.
  • Work with Associate Director to ensure that transfer application process is regularly reviewed and that websites, publications and other materials are up to date and accurate.
  • Serve as liaison with the campus community to ensure that transfer policies and transfer credit policies are clearly communicated with all necessary parties.
  • Engage with stakeholders, internal and external, to resolve application processing questions.
  • Serve as an active member of the processing and operations teams by assisting with additional processes and projects as assigned.
  • Assist with admission document processing, communication with applicants, and office wide initiatives.
  • Contribute to broader enrollment operations initiatives and support cross‑functional efforts that advance the goals and priorities of Enrollment Operations and the broader Texas Student Experience portfolio.
  • Participate in cross‑training activities to develop and maintain working knowledge of related enrollment operations, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide operational support to other areas of Enrollment Operations during periods of increased volume, staffing needs, critical deadlines, or other identified operational priorities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Texas Student Experience to identify opportunities for shared processes, improved workflows, consistent practices, and more effective use of technology.
  • Contribute to a culture of collaboration, flexibility, and shared responsibility across Enrollment Operations and the broader Texas Student Experience portfolio.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and five years of experience in university admissions, academic advising, academic document processing, credit evaluation, articulation.
  • Experience supervising, training, or coordinating the work of professional staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to use CRM systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
