Location: Northern

Performs a variety of complex administrative and technical tasks including collecting and summarizing data, managingdatabases and editing reports.

Characteristics

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collects and summarizes research data for reports; coordinates preparation of reports; reviews for accuracy; makes any necessary edits.
  • Organizes and prepares annual data; collects and summarizes data for end-users; answers data-related inquiries.
  • Prepares andmaintainscomputer databases; maintains files of raw data used in preparing reports.
  • Reviewsfigures afterenteredintodatabases; makes any necessary adjustments.
  • Responds to any inquiries that the external constituencies might haveregardingreports.
  • Coordinates activities; ensures smooth flow of operations; recommends improvements in policies and procedures.
  • Establishesschedules and assigns project tasks; monitors projects to ensure deadlines are met; reviews completed tasks andensuresthat any necessary corrections are made.
  • Uses software tomaintaindatabases and create presentations.

    Assists with focus group setups and telephone follow-up.
  • Performs other departmental administrative duties as assigned

    High School Diploma or GED and completion of 36 semester units of college-level coursework from a regionally accredited institution; or a High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of full-time work experience in an administrative or administrative support role; or a combination of education and work experience, asstated, totaling 2 years.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Worker Characteristics:
    • Knowledge of rules, regulations, and procedures related to state reporting
    • Ability to work independently
    • Ability to analyze problems andidentifysolutions
    • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff from other units across the College
    • Moderate to advanced research and technology skills
