Salary Range: $14.00 To $14.00 Hourly
Job Purpose/Description
Support the Sales and Events team with clerical tasks, pre-event preparation, point of sale (POS), and event assistance for all campus events.
Job Duties
- Operate office equipment; faxing, scanning, printing, and copying of documents
- Answer Zoom calls and transfer calls to appropriate staff
- Answer emails with professionalism and accuracy
- Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Prepare outgoing mail and packages for distribution
- Assemble and compile basic data according to specific instructions
- Retrieve and organize supplies
- Assist in the planning of events (i.e. poster design, hanging signs, set up, take down)
- Attend events to run the ticketing and/or POS for the pop-up shops, to usher, and/or assist the head audio tech
- Keep office area neat and orderly
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be a current or incoming CSS student
- Federal work study eligibility is required (international students exempt)
- Must be responsible, dependable, and detailed oriented
- Must have the ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- Must have time management skills
- Must have the ability to accurately record credit card and cash payments
- Good work ethic, positive attitude and acceptable attendance required
- Computer skills required; experience and proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Suite required
- Willingness to learn and use software (i.e. Shopify, Canva)
- Must have the ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Job functions require sitting, standing, lifting and walking
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to perform the above job duties above without the risk of significant injury
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Must be willing and able to work outside of regular office hours including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Sophomore or greater
- Driver's license helpful (with a clean driving record)
Special Instructions
- Hours per week: up to 10 hours; more hours may be required during high volume event weeks
