Work approximately five hours per day, Monday through Friday, with some scheduling flexibility. - Close Working Relationship: Become a trusted administrative partner to an experienced psychologist, Dr. Columbus Bryant.
As the Practice Administrative Coordinator, you will be the primary administrative point of contact for clients. While Dr. Bryant focuses on clinical care, you’ll manage the details that support an organized and responsive practice. Your responsibilities will include:
- Client Communication: Welcome clients, answer incoming calls, and respond to routine inquiries with warmth, professionalism, and discretion.
- Scheduling: Coordinate appointments, manage scheduling changes, and help maintain a smooth daily workflow.
- Billing and Insurance: Manage billing, insurance follow-up, accounts receivable, and prior authorizations, tracking outstanding matters through completion.
- Records and Documentation: Maintain organized records and use Microsoft Word to edit and format clinical reports as directed.
- Practice Support: Assist with provider credentialing and enrollment, track recurring deadlines, and handle routine office and technology needs.
- Independent Problem-Solving: Recognize priorities, resolve routine administrative issues, and identify matters that require Dr. Bryant’s involvement.
- Process Improvement: Identify practical ways to improve administrative efficiency, including appropriate AI or automation tools that follow approved practices and protect client privacy.
- Experience: A background in administration or client service. Familiarity with healthcare scheduling, billing, insurance processes, or practice administration would be valuable.
- Skills: Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, proficiency with Microsoft Word, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attributes: A dependable, self-motivated individual who is comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and following through with minimal supervision.
- Discretion: Sound judgment when handling confidential information, including careful communication in a quiet office where clients may be nearby.
- Client Care: A warm demeanor, calm telephone presence, and a respectful approach to helping people.
This is a part-time position in a professional office setting, requiring approximately five hours per day, Monday through Friday, with some scheduling flexibility.
