Position Summary

Automotive Technician responsible for learning and applying foundational automotive repair skills. Tasks include routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and customer communication. The role offers a $1,000 sign‑on bonus and a pay range of $17.50 – $26.30 per hour with a flat‑rate, performance‑based compensation model.

Responsibilities

Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
Inspect steering, suspension, and brake systems.
Install batteries and check electrical systems.
Perform tire maintenance and install parts.
Road test vehicles.
Obtain or maintain at least one A.S.E. certification (A1 – A8) within the first two years of employment; certification passes are company‑sponsored and yield a bonus.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
Valid automobile driver’s license and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance and tire repair services, including oil changes and basic inspections.
Reading, writing, and math skills.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 2 years of automotive repair experience.
Completion of a vocational‑technical school program related to automotive repair or equivalent certification.
A.S.E. certification or comparable external qualifications.
