Service Technician

Byrider of Wausau is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our service team!

• Perform quality maintenance and repairs according to repair orders and manufacturer specifications

• Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, steering, suspension, brakes, and other vehicle components

• Use diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and specialized service equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns

• Perform test drives and diagnostic testing as needed to verify repairs

• Identify additional repair or maintenance needs and communicate findings to the Service Advisor

• Provide accurate estimates of time and repairs needed

• Complete warranty repairs according to manufacturer requirements

• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed

• Protect customer vehicles by keeping them clean and treating them with care

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• 2+ years of automotive technician experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance

• Ability to diagnose problems efficiently and accurately

• Comfortable using electronic diagnostic equipment and computer systems

• Ability to read and understand repair orders, technical information, and service procedures

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to interruptions

• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to quality workmanship

• Team-oriented attitude and willingness to continue learning

• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
