About the Role:

As a Ford Transmission Technician at Mullinax Ford of New Smyrna, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of Ford vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to diagnose, repair, and maintain transmission systems, contributing to the overall safety and satisfaction of our customers. You will work closely with a team of skilled technicians, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and implement effective solutions.

This position requires a strong commitment to quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards, as well as a focus on customer service. Ultimately, your expertise will help enhance the reputation of Mullinax Ford as a trusted service provider in the community.

Schedule
:
Monday through Friday with alternating Saturdays - No Nights or Sundays Guaranteed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a formal automotive technician training program or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of Ford transmission diagnostic and rebuilds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working specifically with Ford vehicles and their transmission systems.
  • Additional certifications in automotive technology or specialized training in transmission repair.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and tools specific to Ford vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair transmission issues in Ford vehicles using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on transmission systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and service advisors to provide accurate estimates and timelines for repairs.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs and services performed, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Stay updated on the latest Ford transmission technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include strong diagnostic abilities, which are essential for accurately identifying transmission issues and determining the best course of action for repairs. Attention to detail is crucial, as technicians must ensure that all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
